I have a question about how to set appropriate goals for yourself. I am currently 5'9" and 150 lbs, and I have trouble understanding what fitness goals are appropriate for my body type. Any advice you have on setting realistic goals would be very helpful!
Thanks for the question! My response to your question starts with one of my own. Why start your journey to a new you by setting limits on yourself? There's no reason that you can't get anywhere you want, if you are willing to put in the work! Take The Biggest Loser, for example; there's a show with people that have entire PEOPLE to lose! But as you no doubt have seen, these people put in the dedication and see their real shapes come out!
Staying motivated means keeping your goals in sight. Set your short-term goals so that they are attainable, and you can check them off the list as you head towards the finish line. Passing these marks helps keep you optimistic, and charts your progress so that you can see where you've been! Good luck to you, and to all you other people out there that are also looking to make a change!
